CaseForum is a public legal case hub providing sourced timelines, public filings, and moderated commentary for legal cases.

3. User Responsibilities

  • Do not post private personal data or sealed material.
  • Factual claims must include citations to public sources.
  • No harassment, doxxing, or witness intimidation.
  • Allegations are not findings of fact unless adjudicated.

4. Intellectual Property

Users retain rights to their content. By posting, you grant CaseForum a non-exclusive license to display and moderate your content.

5. Copyright Policy (DMCA)

We respond to DMCA takedown notices. See our DMCA Policy for details. Repeat infringers will have accounts terminated.

6. Limitation of Liability

CaseForum is not liable for user-generated content. We are protected under 47 U.S.C. § 230 as an interactive computer service for third-party content.

7. Not a Consumer Reporting Agency

CaseForum is NOT a consumer reporting agency as defined by the Fair Credit Reporting Act (15 U.S.C. § 1681 et seq.). The information available on this platform is obtained from public court records and is not FCRA-compliant.

  • Prohibited uses. You may NOT use CaseForum, or any data obtained from CaseForum, for any purpose requiring FCRA compliance, including but not limited to: credit eligibility, employment screening, tenant screening, insurance underwriting, or any other eligibility determination covered by the FCRA.
  • No guaranty of accuracy or completeness. Public court records may contain errors, omissions, or outdated information. CaseForum does not guaranty the accuracy, completeness, or currentness of any data displayed on the platform.
  • No consumer rights. Because CaseForum is not a CRA, there is no right to dispute information under the FCRA. If you believe information is inaccurate, contact the originating court directly.
  • Certification required. By creating an account or accessing CaseForum data, you certify that you are not using the platform for any FCRA-covered purpose and will not furnish CaseForum data to any third party for such purposes.
